We are delighted to share that on Wednesday, August 14th, some 40 people gathered at the Del Vino Vineyards in Northport, Long Island for a Book Launch Party to celebrate the publication of Ellen’s best-selling book, Desire, Discipline & Determination: Lessons from Bold Thought Leaders. It was a beautiful evening, hosted by Corinne Hammons, CEO of Little Flower and Domenique Camacho Moran, Partner at Farrell Fritz, P.C. Ellen was honored to have so many of her dear friends come out to celebrate the occasion with her. Ellen’s story, We’re Still Standing, Against All Odds, chronicles the saga of her son Brian’s multi-medical challenges and the work she did to keep him alive.
All of the other authors included in the book are doers and risk-takers who are making real contributions to their community and to the world at large. As expressed by Ellen in the book, “Anything is possible if you have a powerful reason and the determination to see it all the way through”. Sales from the book have been high and Cooperperson Performance Consulting donated all the proceeds from the book launch party to Best Buddies, a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
